What are the symptoms of cocaine use disorder?

Two key signs of CUD include “tolerance” or a reduced sense of euphoria from a person’s typical dose (and so, the need to take a higher, more frequent, or differently administered dose to get the same effect) and withdrawal.

When a person with CUD suddenly stops using cocaine, symptoms may include fatigue, slowed physical reaction time, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, increased appetite, and an intense craving to use the drug again.

Symptoms of long-term use include:
Difficulty maintaining attention
Impulsive behavior
Memory loss
Difficulty speaking and reacting to stimuli

These are complemented by thorough mental health support, medication-assisted treatment protocols, and additional specialized services. Together, we'll identify the ideal combination of programs to support your personal recovery journey.

What to expect during your time with us:

Step 1

Intake

During this phase, we’ll get to know you, your needs, your goals, and your  medical history. You’ll be assigned a primary therapist and case manager who will help build a personalized, ASAM-compatible plan for your future. We’re here to support the person you are the person you want to be.
Step 2

Treatment

With the aid of your therapist and case manager, we’ll determine whether a PHP or IOP is the best fit for you. Depending on which program, your cocaine treatment in Chicago can range between three to five days a week. During treatment, your case manager will coordinate with court systems, other providers, and any other service you need to make recovery as seamless as possible.
Step 3

Transition

Through intensive therapy, expert care, and community help, you’ll reach a point where you can move to the next and lower level of care. The timeframe varies from person to person.
Step 4

Maintenance

Our community is always here for you. As proud as we are of your achievements, we know that recovery isn’t linear. If you feel you need to adjust your level of care, reach out to your case manager.
